Vincent Assafuah Questions Parliamentary Handling of Cocaine Saga Probe
Old Tafo Member of Parliament Vincent Ekow Assafuah has questioned the handling of efforts to investigate the ongoing cocaine saga, raising concerns about attempts to prevent or limit a parliamentary probe.

In a statement, Mr Assafuah questioned why there would be an apparent effort to stop an investigation if there was nothing to hide.
His comments come amid public discussions over the circumstances surrounding the seizure of a large quantity of cocaine in France and questions about individuals reportedly connected to the case.
The Old Tafo MP described the parliamentary developments as an apparent attempt to prevent the matter from receiving further scrutiny.
He questioned the reasons behind what he characterised as “parliamentary gymnastics” and called for greater transparency in dealing with the allegations.
The cocaine case has generated significant public interest, with calls for the relevant authorities to establish the facts surrounding the shipment, the people involved and the circumstances under which the case unfolded.
Mr Assafuah’s remarks add to the growing political debate over whether Parliament should conduct its own inquiry into the matter.
The issue remains subject to investigations, and allegations concerning individuals or institutions should be established through evidence and due process.
