Abena Dapaah Reaches Sixth Region After Impacting 30,000 Students

Abena Dapaah says her commitment to impacting young people across Ghana has continued despite the challenges, disappointments and difficulties she has faced along the way.

Over the course of the year, she has worked to reach young people through initiatives targeting students in basic schools, junior high schools and universities.

According to Dapaah, the journey has not been easy. She said she has faced disappointments from individuals and sponsors, as well as the financial and personal demands that come with organising programmes and reaching communities.

Despite these challenges, she has continued with her efforts, saying her determination to make a difference has kept her moving forward.

Her initiatives have so far reached approximately 30,000 students across different parts of Ghana.

The programme is now set to enter its sixth region, marking another milestone in her efforts to engage young people and create opportunities for them.

For Dapaah, much of the work happens away from public attention, with significant time, energy and personal resources invested in making each initiative possible.

She acknowledged that the extent of the work and resources involved may not always be visible to the public, but said she remains committed to the cause.

As she prepares for the next phase of the initiative, Dapaah is partnering with Mr Kofi Danso in Kwahu to continue the programme and reach more young people.

The partnership is expected to support the initiative as it expands its reach and continues engaging students across different educational levels.

Reaching 30,000 students represents a significant milestone for the initiative, while the move into a sixth region signals plans to continue the work beyond its current achievements.

Dapaah’s journey highlights the effort involved in running youth-focused initiatives and the determination required to continue even when support and resources are limited.
