“Evidence Is Not Sufficient on Its Face” — Akosua Manu Defends Salomey"

Speaking at the #WomenVoicesMatter demonstration, Akosua Manu has challenged allegations linking Salomey Awiti Bafoh to the anonymous TikTok account known as “Ghana Jollof.”

Manu argued that the evidence presented against Salomey, on its face, does not sufficiently establish her alleged involvement in the activities of the account. She also questioned the circumstances surrounding Salomey’s continued remand and raised concerns about the use of detention in a manner that could appear punitive before trial.

Her comments come after the Ghana Police Service said investigations had established that Salomey and the person operating the Ghana Jollof account were friends and that investigators had identified interactions and money transfers between them.
